It’s hot out there, and very dry, especially where the recent coastal rains barely made themselves felt (12.5mm in Mid Hartley over the 3 days that Sydney flooded and Foxground received 190mm in 24 hours!).
This weekend is forecast to be the hottest in this record breaking hot summer, so take all precautions necessary to keep yourselves and your family safe and cool.
Drink plenty of water, keep indoors, no fires – of course, but nothing that can cause sparks either, like slashing paddocks, or using heavy machinery, or riding motor bikes through dry grass. It’s not only matches that start fires!
