WITH THE PASSING OF JUDY KINNEAR it is appropriate to acknowledge the wonderful role she played in leading LITHGOW CITY BAND through thick and thin serving the greater Lithgow Community. Under Judy’s nurturing leadership for over twenty-five years, the Band played at all sorts of community occasions including ANZAC Day, Australia Day, Ironfest, Christmas Carols, “1915”, Daffodils at Rydal, Rydal and Lithgow Shows, Festival of the Valley and many, many more including vice-regal and community events too many to mention. Judy led the Band to perform in wind and rain, heat wave and snow at railways stations, on hills, in the valleys and even on the back of a semi-trailer so that the Band played on. Lithgow is richer for the gift she has given in service to the Lithgow Community. Thank you, Judy.
