The bush fire that is burning in the Lithgow area on Hartley Valley Road between Berry Street and Doctors Gap Road, is now under control.
Current Situation
Fire fighters have contained the fire overnight by back burning in cooler conditions.
Crews have spent the day mopping up and patrolling the perimeter of this fire.
Smoke is visible from Bells Line of Road and Scenic Hill on Chifley Road and is affecting the town of Lithgow.
Advice
- Monitor conditions in your area.
- Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
