THEY’RE worthy of ‘champion exhibit’ status themselves. Chris Bird and Max Goddard have notched up around 100 years service between them as volunteer stewards at the Lithgow Show.
Yesterday they were on the job again from early morning until late afternoon helping with last minute preparations for what is Chris’s 60th show.
The background to the two dedicated volunteers (and the giant pumpkins in the vegetable section) is part of the backdrop created for the western districts exhibit at last year’s Royal Easter Show.
The Hartley Community wishes Chris well as he enters hospital on Thursday 21st March for heart surgery.
